I'm Rob, aka AnimalSpence, and I love nothing more than seeing you all stocking up on your physical media collections with great Blu-Rays, DVDs and amazing films.

For me, it started when I was young.

I used to love picking a film from my small VHS collection, putting it in the video player (of course, rewinding it first), and then sitting down and watching a great movie.

It was an experience.

It was a connection.

Something we miss now with streaming services; we put up with poor quality, shoddy services, and don't get me started on the fact you never actually own the media! Streaming sites can take things away, faster than they added them.

Through Animal Media, I have three main goals:

Firstly, to ensure you lovely people get great physical media back on your shelves, and into your homes.

Secondly, to help you find movies, films and TV shows that you may not have found before, by sending out random and blind selections.

Finally, to bring back the magic of real movie nights. Not just clicking a button and watching some lifeless motion. I mean real film nights that bring back the feelings of connection between stories, cinema and the viewer.

Why, "Animal"?

You may be wondering why we called ourselves, Animal Media.

The answer is two fold:

Rob's nickname growing up was Animal; partly because of his exploits on the rugby field, and also because he was like the Peperami man.

But secondly Rob's cat, Precious, likes to get in the way - and we wanted to honour that with the cat that is in the logo; Precious, the cat!

Our Charitable Promise

Where possible, and as often as we can, we source our stock from charity shops across the UK. It is a simple approach that means the DVDs, Blu-rays and other physical media we find can be given a second life, while the money we spend helps support an array of brilliant causes in communities up and down the country.

For us, this is one of the most rewarding parts of Animal Media. It means that building our stock is about more than simply finding great films — it is also an opportunity to support charities, reduce waste and keep physical media in circulation for longer.

To date, we have been able to contribute over £1,500 to charities through the stock we have purchased, and we are incredibly proud of that figure. With your continued support, every order helps us keep searching, keep rescuing great DVDs and Blu-rays, and keep putting money back into organisations doing important work.

Do I get to choose my movie?

Not at this present time. We may look at ways around choosing certain genres, however the fun about these mystery hampers is never truly knowing what you are going to get - allowing you the chance to explore new movies and films you might not normally get to see!
Are the DVDs or Blu Rays second hand?

They are! We are trying to do all we can to relove DVDs, Blu Rays and other pieces of physical media.

Don't worry though! Every piece is checked, cleaned, and in a good condition!
How do I subscribe for the monthly option?

Subscribing is the best way to enjoy these hampers! Not only do you get a monthly surprise, but you get a discount too!

On the product listing, scroll to the option to subscribe, and our team will send you out a movie at the start of every month!
What if I am not happy with my movie choice?

We will never knowingly send a duplicate movie to the same customer twice, and we will always send the best possible options that we can.

However, our choice is final.

If you aren't happy, do let us know, and we will note the feedback, and we always encourage you to regift your movie wherever possible.

What sweets, snacks and goodies are included?

We will always work on a seasonal basis to ensure the freshness of the snacks, and the goodies. However, we will always aim to include at least three goodies (sometimes more!) This could include popcorn, sweets, drinks and other goodies.
